BStartup Health Investment Program

The Spanish Sabadell bank organized in 2020 the third edition of its BStartup Health investment program, whose main goal is to support startup projects in the field of health in Spain, including those focused on medical devices. EBERS’ CEO, Pedro Moreo, participated in the event giving a presentation on the evolution and perspectives of the company’s business in the field of organ preservation and answered questions from investors and experts in the field.

Presentation of results at the American Transplant Congress (ATC 2020)

EBERS’ research collaborator, Dr. Álex Gutiérrez, presented the last results obtained with the ARK normothermic perfusion system for ex vivo kidney preservation at the American Transplant Congress ATC 2020. The scientific meeting was expected to take place in Philadelphia, USA on May 30 – June 3, but due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic it was celebrated virtually and the portal will be live through June 4, 2021.

EBERS at the congress of the Spanish Society of Nephrology in La Coruña

EBERS participated as exhibitor in the congress of the Spanish Society of Nephrology that took place on October 5-8 in La Coruña, Spain. The conference was also a good opportunity to interact with some of the investigators that are going to participate in the clinical study that the company is planning to start very soon with the ARK normothermic perfusion device for ex vivo kidney preservation under physiologic conditions.

 

EBERS at the TERMIS-AM 2019 conference in Orlando

EBERS was present the TERMIS-AM conference that took place on December 2-5 in Orlando, USA. The company had a stand in the commercial exhibition of the conference shared with our US distributor Hypoxygen.

 

Practical training session to transplant surgeons at the 6th DTI International Workshop on Uncontrolled and Controlled DCD

The Donation & Transplantation Institute (DTI) organized at University Hospital Clínic in Barcelona on January 23-24 the 6th International Workshop on Uncontrolled and Controlled Donation after Cardiac Death. The workshop included practical training sessions on ex situ perfusion of solid organs where more than 70 participants from all over the world had the opportunity to see EBERS’ technology. The technical team from EBERS performed some real experiments with porcine kidneys in collaboration with the participants of the workshop and EBERS’ CEO, Pedro Moreo, provided detailed information on the technology.
