Presentation of results at the American Transplant Congress (ATC 2020)

EBERS’ research collaborator, Dr. Álex Gutiérrez, presented the last results obtained with the ARK normothermic perfusion system for ex vivo kidney preservation at the American Transplant Congress ATC 2020. The scientific meeting was expected to take place in Philadelphia, USA on May 30 – June 3, but due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic it was celebrated virtually and the portal will be live through June 4, 2021.

EBERS at the TERMIS-AM 2019 conference in Orlando

The normothermic preservation technology from EBERS was presented during the TERMIS-AM conference that took place on December 2-5 in Orlando, USA. The company was present with a stand in the commercial exhibition of the conference shared with our US distributor Hypoxygen. In addition, the company also showcased some of the new products in the field of tissue engineering.

Practical training session to transplant surgeons at the 6th DTI International Workshop on Uncontrolled and Controlled DCD

The Donation & Transplantation Institute (DTI) organized at University Hospital Clínic in Barcelona on January 23-24 the 6th International Workshop on Uncontrolled and Controlled Donation after Cardiac Death. The workshop included practical training sessions on ex situ perfusion of solid organs where more than 70 participants from all over the world were shown how to the ARK normothermic perfusion system from EBERS to preserve kidneys for transplantation. The technical team from EBERS performed some real experiments with porcine kidneys in collaboration with the participants of the workshop and EBERS’ CEO, Pedro Moreo, provided detailed information on the technology.

EBERS at the congress of the Spanish Society of Nephrology in La Coruña

EBERS participated as exhibitor in the congress of the Spanish Society of Nephrology that took place on October 5-8 in La Coruña, Spain. The conference was also a good opportunity to interact with some of the investigators that are going to participate in the clinical study that the company is planning to start very soon with the ARK normothermic perfusion device for ex vivo kidney preservation under physiologic conditions.

The ARK SYSTEM presented in the ESOT conference

EBERS participated in the commercial exhibition of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) congress that took place on September 15-18 in Copenhagen. The company showcased two units of the new normothermic organ preservation device in a stand and in a specific area of the venue exclusively dedicated to organ preservation technology. In addition, scientific results obtained with the system were presented in the scientific sessions.
